REDMI NOTE 7 REVIEW

REDMI NOTE 7 REVIEW

Redmi note 7

Redmi 6 pro was a disappointment but recently Xiaomi has launched the new Redmi note 7  which looks quite interesting. So unlike the Redmi note 6 Pro, this is the phone that brings some major updates. This is a gorgeous phone, without a doubt this is the most good looking smartphone ever in the Redmi note series. Xiaomi manages to pull out the huge notch, dull metal design, and bad looking antenna lines. This has a new water drop notch, a glass back and the trendy gradient finish all of which give the phone a very premium look. Along with the new glass back The note 7 features the water drop notch which is definitely less intrusive than the other notches and while there's still a chin here I like the front of the phone Redmi note 7 specifications are somewhat similar to Redmi note 6 Pro.

Display and design: -

  • New notch means bigger display the note 7  has a 6.3" IPS LCD display with gorilla glass 5 and it seems like a great display. It is sharp, bright and colors are good too. The design of the new Redmi note 7  is great there is a fast fingerprint scanner on the back, the IR blaster, headphone jack on the top, tiny notification LED at the bottom of the front and USB C on the bottom. Yes, we finally have USB C port in a Redmi phone which means faster charging faster data transfer this itself is a big positive. Well there is no IP rating here but Xiaomi CEO recently revealed that the design has watertight seals for the buttons the ports the sim tray and a 3.5mm jack so It should be fairly water resistant too

Redmi note 7 Camera:-

  • The Redmi Note 7  packs in a massive 48-megapixel f\1.8 sensor along with the secondary 5  MP f/2.4 depth sensor now the 48MP here is the SAMSUNG ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor and it also has dual LED and EIS on board. You'll notice it takes a 12MP photo on the auto mode you'll have to switch to the pro mode to click a picture with 48MP. The camera does not support 4K recording but there is 1080p 60Fps support and 1080p at 120fps support but on the selfie front there is a bit of a downgrade no dual cameras here and it comes with 13 MP F/2.0 camera with portrait mode. Overall cameras on this device seem great.

Redmi note 7 geek bench score

Performance: -

  •   Redmi note 7 pro has the mighty Snapdragon 660 which is the best processor under 15k price range right now with up to 6 GB ram and 64 GB storage. The benchmark score also seems good. On the geek bench, the single core score is 1608 and multicore score is 4619 which is better than competition thanks to MIUI and overclock CPU, but when it comes to the real world performance usual day to day usage and gaming have been pretty good. The battery is same as previous Reddmi 6 pro 6000mAH  and now they support for 18 W fast charging.

Redmi Note 7 features:-

  • When it comes to software the phone comes with MIUI 10 on top of android PI and it's usual with all the feature you need. There is face unlock which is fast and works really well there are MIUI navigation gestures which I definitely like better than android pie's native gestures

Overall the phone is good especially compared to Red mi 6 Pro and yeah its pretty much clear that the Redmi note series is back with the bang and the Redmi note 7 price in India would be around RS10000.
